¡Belize!

So this one time I didn't update my blog for over a month. However, during this one time, I went to Belize, then an all-volunteer conference and 4th of July party, then my mom and brother came to visit for two weeks, then another friend came for a few days, and then I had another Peace Corps conference. Since my mom will be covering her trip in a later blog entry, I figured I just make this one about Belize.

There's not much to say about my trip to Belize except that it was amazingly fun and relaxing and delicious and was quite possibly the best vacation of my life. I went with one of my Peace Corps friends, and the two of us spent the week lying on the beach, watching iguanas and howler monkeys in the jungle, and discovering our new-found love for lobster: lobster quiche, lobster dumplings, lobster quesadillas, and most of all, red Thai curry with lobster - all enjoyed while listening to a live band play great Belizean and Carribean music.  Sometimes Peace Corps life can be really hard...

  2. Great pictures! I didn't know you had a vacation to Belize -- how great is that? I liked the monkey pictures, but I think my favorite is the bats all lined up on the tree.
